Grundfos Sololift2 – wastewater stations for toilets, showers and sinks

Grundfos Sololift2 are compact automatic wastewater lifting stations designed for premises where wastewater cannot be led to the main sewer by a natural slope. They enable the construction or renovation of a bathroom, toilet, shower, sink, laundry room or kitchenette in a basement, attic, extension or remote area of the building.

What is Sololift2?

Sololift2 collects the wastewater from the connected sanitary appliances in an integrated tank. When the level reaches a start value, the pump is automatically switched on, pumps the water to the main sewer riser and stops when the stop level is reached. This allows the sanitary room to be built below the sewer level or at a location remote from the main sewer riser.

When is a Sololift2 station suitable?

  • In a bathroom, toilet or wet room in a basement below the sewer level.

WC-1 – for toilet and sink For one floor-standing toilet with horizontal outlet and one sink. Has a cutting tool for toilet paper and fecal water.
WC-3 – for toilet, sink, shower and bidet For a floor-standing toilet plus up to three additional sanitary appliances: sink, shower cabin, bidet or urinal.
CWC-3 – for wall-mounted toilet Slim model for pre-wall construction and wall-mounted toilet, with the option of connecting a washbasin, shower cabin, bidet or urinal.
C-3 – for grey water, washing machine and dishwasher For grey water without faeces, including from washing machines, dishwashers, bathtubs, showers, sinks and kitchen sinks. Also suitable for salt water from softeners.

Important limitations

Installation guidelines

  • The station must remain accessible for inspection and service.
  • Install the station as close as possible to the sanitary appliance when the model is for a toilet.
  • WC-1 and WC-3 must be directly behind a floor-standing toilet in the same room; the maximum distance when using a connecting piece is 150 mm.
  • CWC-3 is for wall-mounted toilet and pre-wall construction.
  • The first section of the pressure pipe must be vertical, and the horizontal section thereafter must have a minimum slope of 1% towards the sewer.
  • Do not exceed the maximum pressure and match the diameter and length of the pressure pipe to the specific model.

The C-3 model is the right choice for washing machines, dishwashers or hot grey water. Do not connect such appliances to the D-2 or WC model if the water temperature may exceed 50 °C.

Which model to choose?

  • D-2: Choose if you only need to pump water from a sink, shower or bidet and installation space is limited. Not for a toilet, washing machine or dishwasher.
  • WC-1: Choose for a small toilet with one floor-standing toilet and one washbasin.
  • WC-3: Choose for a full bathroom with a floor-standing toilet, sink, shower and bidet/urinal.
  • CWC-3: Choose when the toilet is wall-mounted and installed in a pre-wall construction; also suitable for washbasin, shower and bidet/urinal.
